Strengthen and protect

Injuries most often occur when a weak muscle fails. Having muscles that are conditioned and strong, drastically reduce your risk of getting an injury.

At the centre of a strong and stable body, is your core. A strong core provides stabilization, allows for efficient and powerful movement, and helps protect surrounding muscles like your back muscles. If you have a weak core, you are very likely to have back pain or sustain an injury. A great exercise for increasing core strength is the bridge exercise.

The bridge exercise isolates and strengthens your glutes, hamstrings, and core. These muscles are crucial for protecting your posterior chain muscle group on the posterior of your body (glutes, hamstrings, back, shoulder and neck muscles).
